Google Upgrades Gmail Video Chat With Google+ Hangouts

Google has replaced existing Gmail video chat with Google+ Hangouts. They have come out with an upgraded version of video chatting feature. They have worked in improving the quality and performance of Gmail video chats, and if users
have Google+ accounts, they will be able to communicate with multiple people as long as all have Google+ accounts.

The old version of the Gmail video chat that was based on one-to-one technology. The Google Team says, “Hangouts utilize the power of Google’s network to deliver higher reliability and enhanced quality” and will also allow Gmail users to reach people not only when they are using Gmail, but also “if they are on Google+ in the browser or on their Android or iOS devices.”

With Hangouts, Gmail users obviously also get a number of new features that weren’t previously available in Gmail video chats. Other new features for Gmail users who also have Google+ accounts will be the ability to collaborate on Google documents, watch YouTube videos simultaneously and do screen sharing.
Besides the fact that users can chat with up to “nine” users simultaneously.

Hope you enjoy the new Gmail video chatting feature by Google and hangout with your friends and family.
